Your wedding hair and makeup team represents one of the most cost-effective aspects of your entire wedding. However, the team you choose plays a crucial role in setting the tone for your special day, influencing both how you feel and how you appear in every photo throughout the event. We're not tied to one location. We come to you, making it easy and convenient to receive our services wherever you are! Our team mainly commutes from the West Michigan, Southeast Michigan, and Metro Detroit areas.

We’ll send you an Inquiry Form to gather the details needed to provide an accurate quote. Please note that estimated or incomplete information can make it difficult to generate a proper quote. A signed contract and paid retainer, along with all required details, are necessary to secure your appointment. All information must be finalized before booking any trials, even if you are not securing your event date with us yet.

Please send us a message with all of the required details for your event day. From there, we can figure out which Artist's will be best to schedule for the trial day. We can't determine where the trial will be held or what days/times the trial can be done without the information for your event first.

We charge $1 per mile, round trip. Per Artist.

The retainer fee is 50% of the service total, including any additional fees, and is required to reserve your appointment. If you're booking with less than 30 days' notice, a full 100% retainer of the service total and all additional fees will be required to secure your date.

On the same day of your appointment in the preceding month. If that day in the preceding month does not exist, the balance is due on the last day of the preceding month. If you book your appointment with less than 30 days remaining, then a 100% retainer fee is due to make your reservation.

We have Artist's in many different locations in Michigan. We service all of Michigan and the upper region of Ohio. Some Artist's will travel up to 4 hours away from their location. At this time, we do not travel to the Upper Peninsula.

We are an on location company. However, some studios may be available for smaller appointments.

We do! We have 4 Artist‘s who can speak Spanish, 3 Artist's who can speak Arabic, 1 Artist who can speak Bahasa Indonesia, 1 Artist who can speak Panjabi, 1 Artist who can speak Hindi & 1 Artist who knows sign language.

We do have an option to reserve a Backup Artist to ensure you’ll still be able to complete all of your services on the day of your appointment in case anything happens with your original scheduled Artist(s). However, you can trust that we have never missed a wedding and have never had to enforce the Backup Artist policy.
There is an additional fee to reserve a Backup Artist. The fee will be refunded to you if the Backup Artist is needed that day. Service pricing will remain as usual. No refund if the Backup Artist isn't needed as their day was blocked off and they weren't able to take any other appointments.
If you don't reserve a Backup Artist and your scheduled Artist does not show up then you will get a complimentary hair & makeup service for a future date for the inconvenience. You will be eligible for a refund for the services that were not able to be completed as well.
Being that we do have a large team, there is a high chance that we would be able to find a last minute replacement Artist. We just can’t guarantee this without a Backup Artist reservation on file. -
This typically isn't an issue if you are booking a year to 6 months in advance. Last minute bookings are harder to find available Artist's in general. We recommend booking a year in advance to avoid this.

Yes, we do! We can quote you for this service based off of the dimensions of the tattoo. Send us a picture to verify.

We typically require at least 5 full services booked, per Artist. There are some rare occasions where we can accept 1-4 service requests. Please inquire and we will let you know what we can do! Services can be combined to make 5 as well. For example, 3 hair + 2 makeup.

We do have an Artist in the New Haven and Macomb area that offers facials.

We typically aim to schedule the closest available Artist(s) to the getting ready location to keep travel fees low. Some factors may change this.

If you are inquiring for hairstyling services, then yes. This will help ensure we are booking the correct time frames and prices per client. Makeup services do not require photos to be sent if they are the typical natural to full glam formal event makeup styles. However, you are more than welcome to send us the inspiration for the makeup too!

Airbrush makeup can enhance fine lines, peach fuzz, wrinkles and dry patches more than traditional foundation that is applied with a brush. We recommend having a solid personalized skincare regimen along with dermaplaning to get the best results. A consistent glowing skin care recipe goes a long way too!

Hair that is washed and blow dried the night before styles best. Hair should be washed with salon professional products and blow dried with a round brush or a flat paddle brush. You can use 2-3 of your favorite products before blow drying. Upon our arrival, clean hair with no product other than heat protectant is recommended. We can apply dry shampoo before styling to get rid of excessive oil if need be. If you are working with your natural curls then you are free to use your favorite products on wet and dry hair before we start styling.

For acne-prone skin, we are able to color correct and conceal problem areas efficiently. Setting powder and setting spray will help ensure the product doesn't move throughout the day. Please keep in mind that there is only so much that Artist's can do with textured skin. Also, please note that any friction to the makeup can cause smudging. We recommend traditional foundation over airbrush foundation for maximum coverage.

You must specify prior to making your reservation if you have a preference. If not, Viva La Glam will use their best judgement on which Makeup Artist to schedule. Not every Artist on our team offers airbrush foundation.

Most lipsticks used in our kits tend to stay on for many hours. However, we can't guarantee it will stay on all night. Anyone receiving makeup services are recommended to purchase a lipstick from their preferred brand in advance and to bring the lipstick with them to the appointment.

Most sunscreens cause flashback in photos and may not mix well with makeup products. Please check with us prior to your appointment.

We keep a variety of strip eyelashes stocked in our kits ranging from natural to soft glam to bold to cat-eye style lashes. If you have a specific style in mind, please send us a picture at least 2 weeks before your appointment. Strip eyelashes in colors other than black and individual eyelashes must be requested at least 2 weeks prior to the appointment.

About 70% of the pictures in our portfolio are basic hairstyles. We can confirm which service your hairstyle would classify as when we know your inspiration and hair type.

Some hairstyles are more intricate, detailed, and time-consuming due to the techniques and effort involved. For example, hair that is difficult to curl often requires a process of curling and pinning to cool before it can be styled. This is especially true for vintage styles like Old Hollywood glam waves. Similarly, styles that feature three or more braids, bohemian vibes, viking-inspired looks, or steampunk hairstyles, generally go beyond a basic hairstyle. Medium to long hair with thick density, when styled into a pinned downdo, also typically requires extra time and care. These types of styles are considered more advanced and may involve additional products, tools, and preparation to achieve the desired result.

Updo hairstyles tend to take less time to do. A downdo requires every single section of hair to be curled, which will take a lot more time to do.

We do not supply hair extensions. We just install them. The extensions must be 100% human hair. Clips ins or halo extensions only.

At this time, we do not. Any cushions that are needed for extra volume must be provided by the Client. Hair accessories such as pins, twines and combs must be provided by the Client as well.

An updo style is the best option!

Hairstyling services can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours per person, depending on the desired look and the client's hair type. To ensure proper scheduling, we recommend booking the appropriate style in advance, as switching from a basic to a specialty hairstyle may not be able to be accommodated on the day of your appointment.
Switching the services later on can change the servicing time frame drastically, which may require you to do the servicing at another location that allows entry at an earlier time. That is if the original Artist is able to do so and doesn't have other appointments booked for the day by the time that you make this switch. Changing the hairstyling services later on may not doable if the original booked Artist isn't able to accommodate the changes or if another Artist isn't available to be scheduled by the time you give the notice.
Switching the hairstyling services later on could require an additional Artist or two to be scheduled (depends on the timeline and Artist’s availability). Please note that the service pricing that was already locked in with an Artist cannot decrease. Additional services might need to be booked if another Artist or two is added on after a booking has been secured. A service minimum requirement may be needed for the new Artist(s).
Changing from a specialty hairstyle to a basic hairstyle will not change the price that was contracted-in. The time frame for services can change though, if you’d like. We understand this is a lot of information. There are a lot of factors that go into the scheduling process and the pricing when it comes to hairstyling services. Knowing the official hairstyling details before booking is super important so we can make sure the booking process and appointment day runs smoothly for all parties!

Getting a Brazilian blowout or Keratin Smoothing Treatment before your appointment will make a big difference. Additionally, doing a blowout with frizz-control products before we arrive will help minimize frizz in your hairstyle. We'll use humidity-blocking and strong-hold products to help keep your hair looking flawless all day. Afterward, staying in a shaded, dry area will further help prevent frizz.
